A while back my friend asked me to make a food quilt. The fabrics had to focus on
food since she worked in a food related business. I looked around and food lots of foodie fabrics but they were so varied and different that I didn't know how I would tie them all together. Then I remembered the Eric Carle Hungry Caterpillar collection of fabrics. It was covered with all kinds of food in a lovely rainbow palette so it would be perfect to use in the quilt. I threw in some coordinating dimpled minky on the front and backed it with green flannel. I think it turned out so cute. What do you think?
I plan to make another. Maybe I will add red and orange minky next time...

A Week Off
I am a teacher but not a full time regular teacher. I am a reading and math specialist so when the regular teachers scheduled conferences last week, I got the week off. My custom quilt order list is already growing so I wanted to dig into that. I set a goal for myself of sewing 5 of those custom quilts and I'm happy to say I met the goal. Here are the quilts I made from Oct. 13th - Oct. 20th
